While most volunteering takes place during office hours, you can volunteer at evenings and weekends too, depending on what you want to do and your availability. Within the hospital, our volunteer workers are part of the team and are rostered on to a shift. If working in the community then the hours are more flexible. If your circumstances change, we can always be flexible.

Mandatory Training

Calvary has a strong commitment to provide our volunteers with a through training prior to commencing your volunteer work. This will ensure you feel comfortable working in our health care facility with confidence and safety. The Education Program is conducted one day a week over five weeks (9.30 - 3.30). On completion of the program, a further interview is arranged to determine a suitable role and placement within the organisation.

A Calvary volunteer

As a Calvary volunteer we continue our commitment to you by providing opportunities for ongoing training and development.
